Craig Clark, LMHC

Craig Clark, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adults ages 18 and older to overcome life’s challenges and build healthier, more fulfilling lives. He believes that lasting change begins by recognizing each person’s strengths and helping them develop practical tools to navigate stress, uncertainty, and difficult emotions with greater confidence.

Craig specializes in helping individuals experiencing anxiety, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Whether someone is facing overwhelming stress, navigating major life decisions, or simply feeling stuck, he provides a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can gain clarity, develop resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth.

His therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mindfulness-based strategies, helping clients better understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, he and his clients work to reduce anxiety, challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, improve coping skills, and make thoughtful decisions that align with their personal values and goals.

Craig believes that every individual possesses the capacity for change. Therapy is a collaborative process in which clients determine the direction of their journey while Craig provides guidance, evidence-based strategies, encouragement, and practical tools to help them achieve lasting progress.

Craig provides in-person services in the Ankeny office location and offers secure telehealth appointments for clients throughout Iowa. His practice serves individuals and families from Ankeny, Ames, Altoona, Bondurant, Johnston, Polk City, Urbandale, West Des Moines, Altoona, Pleasant Hill, and surrounding communities.

Craig believes that everyone possesses the ability to grow and create meaningful change. By working together in a collaborative and supportive environment, he helps clients develop practical tools, build confidence, and move through life’s challenges with greater clarity and purpose.
